Washi Paper Quilting
A unique and fun way to create beautiful three dimensional "puffy"
designs. Washi Paper Quilting is based on the traditional Japanese
doll making technique called "Kime-Komi" and Oshie. Japanese kimono
fabric is used on the dolls, but we decided to incorporate Japanese
washi paper instead. The handmade, silk screened washi paper
enables us to adapt the "Kime-komi" technique to create these unique
